Battleship Cove (Fall River, USA)

Battleship Cove is an open-air naval museum and war memorial which houses vessels from World War II at its location on Mount Hope Bay adjacent to the Fall River Heritage State Park. The premises include a Victorian pavilion which houses the Lincoln Park Carousel which was relocated there in 1991. The National Destroyermen’s Museum is also located on the USS Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr and provides exhibits relating to the destroyermen heritage. Oral history programs based on narratives by war veterans are available and dining options are provided aboard the USS Massachusetts. Battleship Cove is open daily from 09h00 to 16h30, with closure at 17h00 in Summer. It is also closed on Thanksgiving as well as December 25th and January 1st.
