The Buffalo Bill Historical Center consists of five museums which exhibit art and artefacts relating to the history of the American Wild West. Besides housing the Harold McCracken Research Library, visitors will find the following: Whitney Gallery of Western Art, offering reconstructed artists studios and works by W.R. Leigh, Frederic Remington and others; Buffalo Bill Museum with displays relating to the “cowboy” era and history of Buffalo Bill; Plains Indian Museum which is devoted to the history and culture of the Plains Indians and also hosts related special events; Cody Firearms Museum offers a selection of American firearms and traces its development up to the present; Draper Museum of Natural History offers interactive displays relating to regional geology and wildlife. Admission for adults is approximately 10 Euro ($15) and opening hours are as follows: November - March (open daily except on Mondays) - 10h00 to 15h00 April (open daily) - 10h00 to 17h00 May - 15 September (open daily) - 08h00 to 20h00 16 September - October (open daily) - 08h00 to 17h00 Parking and facilities for disabled patrons are provided, but it serves to be noted that some historical structures offer only limited accessibility. Multilingual visitor’s guides are available and facilities include an espresso bar and restaurant.
