The Canadian Museum of Civilisation is a largeanthropological museum occupying a building designed by the Native Canadian architect Douglas Cardinal. The building has a prominent position on the riverside, opposite the Parliament Hill. The building is designed to represent the Canadian geography, featuring the glaciers and the Canadian Shield. The collections of the Museum of Civilisation are displayed in several areas, including: The Great Hall, with totem poles and indigenous artworks mostly from the Pacific North-West extensive displays of Canadian First Nations’ artefacts interactive Children’s Museum Postal Museum and the Canada Hall where the social history of the country is depicted in the series of tableaux.
