The Chorros de Milla Zoo boasts more than 300.000 visitors per year which makes it the most popular zoo in the country. It is located at the north-eastern side of the town at the foot of a large mountain ravine. The zoo expands over 15 acres of land and features local vegetation, a natural waterfall and a river. The animals in the zoo belong to 149 different species which include mammals, reptiles and insects. The zoo offers a restaurant and a picnic area as well as some scenic cascades.
