City Park (New Orleans, USA)

City Park New Orleans covers an area of 1300 acres and was established during the middle of the 19th century. It is the 6th largest public park in the United States based on its area and the 7th most popular in the country based on visitor numbers. Within City Park there is an Amusement Park (fees and opening times can be found on the website), a golf course, museum (New Orleans Museum of Art), Sculpture Garden and a Botanical Garden. The park holds one of the world’s oldest collection of Oak trees, many of which are over six centuries old. In 2005 large parts of City Park were damaged by Hurricane Katrina.
