El Ávila National Park (Caracas, Venezuela)

The National Park stretches between the coast and Caracas for a distance of approximately 120 miles. There is a cableway and many hiking trails which allow visitors to explore the waterfalls and wildlife. Access is relatively easy from the Altamira region. The region was declared a National Park in 1958 and still bears traces of the agricultural activities that it was used for before becoming a park.
