Historic Jamestowne (Williamsburg, USA)

Historic Jamestowne is the site of the 1607 James Fort and first English settlement in North America. It forms part of the Colonial National Historical Park and is an IUCN Protected Landscape which is jointly managed by the National Park Service and Preservation Virginia. Scenic walks allow visitors to explore the nature and birdlife of the site and also discover its rich history. Guided tours with a duration of 30 to 45 minutes are presented and there is also a Living History Program. Facilities include the Jamestown Glasshouse where visitors can learn more about glassblowing in the 17th century as well as a gift shop where one of a kind hand blown glass items can be purchased.
