Levi Ski (Sirkka / Levi, Finland)

Levitunturi is well known for one of the biggest skiing resorts in Finland, Levi. The ski center has 45 slopes the longest one being 2,5 kilometers. Levi is also the venue for a competition of Alpine Skiing World Cup. Besides downhill skiing Levi offers much more : during the winter season one can try cross country skiing, snowmobiles and dogsledges for example. During the summer season golfing, hiking, canoeing and fishing in the rural nature of Lapland are available for visitors. Levitunturi is easy to reach, while the flight from Helsinki to Kittilä airport takes around one hour. In winter season Kittilä airport receives more passangers than any other airport in Finland - if you don’t count the Helsinki-Vantaa airport. Also train connections are available from southern Finland. Area has many hotels and also private own cottages, that are rented for visitors. There are also many restaurants, pubs and also venues for both classical and rock music available.
