Loch of the Lowes is a freshwater loch located 2 miles north-east of Dunkeld. From early April to late August a pair of ospreys nest here and CCTV and telescopes are provided for viewing the birds. In addition to ospreys, fallow and roe deer, red squirrels and pine martensas well redstart, spotted and pied flycatcher, crossbill, kingfisher and more bird species. The visitor centre has exhibition displays, shop and ranger programme of educational activities.
