This is the birthplace of Mehmet Ali - the fouder of the last Egyptian royal line. Situated in the Seraidaris Garden it is the tipical 18-century Turkish house with carved wooden beams. Below the house are both the stables and kitchen,and above you’ll find Ali’s harem and pasha’s quarters. Just beyond the building,there is a bronze statue of Ali on the small square.
