This monastery is located on the Panormitis Bay and originally dates back to the 15th century, but was rebuilt in the 18th century and is still in use today. Not only is it a tourist attraction frequented by boats from Rhodes bringing many visitors, but it is also visited by pilgrims who stay at the monastery. The building is in the Venetian style and has a tall bell tower and a central court yard. Panormitis Monastery also has two museums with exhibits that include icons, frescoes and local art. The cells the monks live in are available to tourists for rent on a nightly basis.
