The Pitlochry Festival Theatre was established by John Stewart in 1951 but it has only been at its present location at Port Na Craig on the banks of the River Tummel since 1981. The theatre has a seating capacity of 544 and provides a full programme of shows throughout the year. It includes a seating area that has been specifically adapted to suit the needs of guests with disabilities. Tickets can be purchased at the box office or online and backstage tours are also available. Backstage tours of the theatre take place at 11am every Wednesday and Friday throughout the summer months and cost £5. Facilities include a restaurant, café and bar plus a gallery and gift shop.
