Rynek Główny (Kraków, Poland)

Market Square - the largest square of Krakow, as well as the largest square in medieval Europe (approximately 200m x 200m). In the central part of the square is the Cloth Hall (old merchants’ stalls), next to City Hall (remnants of the old town hall). On the other side of the Cloth Hall is a tiny Catholic church (St Adalbert) and the monument of Adam Mickiewicz. In the north-east corner of the market is St Mary’s Basilica. In the historic buildings located around the Square you will find numerous restaurants, cafes and shops with gardens and a few banks. The market is also a place where you can meet itinerant artists, mimes, and organized fairs and events Christmas music - theatre.
