Covering a diagonal distance of 2.7 miles, the Sandia Peak Tram is the world’s longest double-cabled aerial tram. The gondolas carry passengers back and forth between a lower terminal at the base of the Sandia Mountains and an upper terminal on Sandia Peak. The tram offers panoramic views of the Western face of the mountains, as well as a means of transportation for reaching ski areas and hiking trails at the summit.
