Iso Omena (in english the big apple) is a shopping mall in Espoo, Finland. Located right next to Länsiväylä high way just some 10 kilometers from Helsinki Iso Omena offers around 120 different shops from big food stores to smaller special stores. There is also a Finnkino movie theater and a city library in the same building. The shopping centre also offers many restaurants and services. Iso Omena was built in 2001 and it has 49 000 retail square meters of space. In 2007 the shopping centre was acquired by Citycon and in 2008 the annual sales were over 210 million euros. Iso Omena is easy to reach from Helsinki, while dozens of buslines have their stop just nearby. There are also plans to have a metro line from Helsinki, that should be in use within 5 years time. The shopping mall is open from monday to friday 8 am - 9 pm, on saturdays 8 am - 6 pm and on sundays 12 am - 9 pm.
