St Mary's (Manchester, United Kingdom)

St Mary’s Catholic Church is located on Mulberry Street right in the heart of Manchester’s city centre, close to the Town Hall building. It has acquired the nickname of “The Hidden Gem”. The church was built in 1794 and is the oldest Catholic church in the city. Amongst its most notable features are a series of paintings known as “The Stations of the Cross” that depict Christ’s journey to the cross and a 14th century baptism font. Admission to the church is free and it is open for visitors daily. The premises are wheelchair accessible for disabled patrons.
