Stanley Park (Blackpool, United Kingdom)

Stanley Park was designed by Thomas Mawson and Sons and is spread over 274 acres. The park opened in 1926 and was named after Sir George Edward Villers Stanley who opened the park. The park contains a lake, several different types of gardens, various habitats for wildlife, a clock tower and conservatories. Recreational facilities include a sports centre, football, cricket, tennis, bowling and a 18 hole golf course. The park has been recognised as a ‘great historic significance’ and was placed on the National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens in 1995 (Grade II).
