The Surgeons’ Hall Museum in Edinburgh houses the largest collection of surgical pathology material in Britain. It has been open to the public since 1832 making it the oldest museum in Scotland. It is located within the grounds of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. There are several permanent exhibits including the Dental Collection, Sport, Surgery and the Well Being, History of Surgery and the Surgeons’ Hall Pathology Museum. The museum is open weekdays from 12pm to 4pm apart from Bank / Public Holidays. When exams are on the Pathology Museum will be closed on certain dates. To avoid disappointment please check website for those dates as they change annually.
