Unesco Historic Centre Of Córdoba (Cordoba, Spain)

The historic centre of Córdoba has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984. It comprises of several different monuments of artistic and cultural interest. These include: -The Mezquita de Córdoba, which is one of the most important monuments of Andalusian architecture. Constructed during the 13th century it was originally a Mosque but later turned into a Christian Cathedral. -Torre Fortaleza de la Calahorra, an example of medieval military strength. It now houses a museum with audio-visual displays and surgical Arabic instruments, as well as musical instruments and models. -Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, built by King Alfonso XI of Castilla in 1328, features four towers around its main frame and contains mosaics within its internal rooms and landscaped gardens around its exterior.
