Waldensian Heritage Museum (Valdese, USA)

The Waldensian Heritage Museum tells the story of the Waldensian settlers who suffered persecution and were almost driven to extinction. These early settlers were fiercely religious but despite persecution they managed to preserve their faith and customs. The museum includes many artefacts that date back to the first settlers including tools, books, pictures, clothing and household items. The museum is owned by the Waldensian Presbyterian Church and is maintained and staffed by volunteers. Tours of the museum take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and other times by appointment only. Admission is $2.00 per adult and $1.00 per student.
