Positive Reviews

Great location for a restful break.

With picturesque mountain views, a babbling stream and roaming wildlife, previous guests have found the resort to be peaceful and relaxing. The property is said to be close enough to town to be convenient, but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle.

Warm and welcoming staff.

Guests are made to feel welcome as soon as they set foot in the resort. According to reports, the resort owners and staff offer a warm and friendly service, one that makes you feel at home from the outset.

Close to Rocky Mountain National Park.

With the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park just two miles away, the resort has become something of a hiker's delight. Travellers looking to explore the park in summer or winter will find the resort to be conveniently located.

Negative Reviews

Mattresses, pillows have seen better days.

Accommodations within the resort are said to have something of a rustic charm but that charm ceases when it comes to beds. Past guests point out that old mattresses are thin and uncomfortable from overuse, while pillows are also said to be as flat as pancakes.

Fireplace smell is off-putting to some.

Some rooms at the resort come complete with a wood-burning fire, a highlight for some guests. However, those unused to the campfire smell of a fireplace or the lingering smell of smoke aren't always fans of this inclusion. Those with respiratory issues may also wish to book a non-fireplace room.

Journey to town for breakfast.

With the resort restaurant not opening until late in the morning, previous guests have found themselves traipsing to town for breakfast. This arrangement proves unpopular, particularly with those looking to make an early start to their day of hiking.
