About Prince Of Wales

Cornish pub Prince Of Wales is found in a traditional Edwardian building in Falmouth. Bed and breakfast accommodation is also possible.

Simple en suite rooms are suitable for three or four guests and are reasonably priced. Some rooms look directly out to the Prince Of Wales Pier. A mini-suite with a double room and a lounge is also available for bookings. Insulated glazing is meant to ensure a quiet night's rest.

Public parking and Wi-Fi are available.

Breakfast is normally served between eight and ten, and guests should fill out a form the night before indicating the breakfast they desire. In the pub, food is served from noon until eight at night and there is a Sunday roast.

Musical acts play on Monday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, and Sunday evening is reserved for karaoke. Close to the pier, Prince Of Wales has a good location for exploring Falmouth on foot.

Positive Reviews

Clean, spacious rooms get the job done.

The sparsely furnished, airy rooms are kept to a good standard and are very clean.

Generous portions in the pub.

The pub is the heart of Prince of Wales, where gigs are played and food is dished up. Many travellers come back time and time again to enjoy the large portions of quality food. Whenever they can, the owners like to use locally-sourced Cornish ingredients.

Hearty breakfast with lots of options.

The full English breakfast comes with Cornish sausages and hog's pudding, while the lighter continental breakfast offerings are yogurt, pastries, and fresh fruit.

Negative Reviews

Music from the pub disrupts light sleepers.

When there is music on, it can be heard in the rooms above the pub. Some guess have complained that music and rowdiness went on too long into the night and that they weren't able to sleep.

Certain areas should be updated and improved.

Bedside tables and lights are conspicuously absent, and problems with the showers have been reported. A little housework could be done here and there to make conditions better.

Credit cards are not accepted by moody personnel.

In a few instances, guests have received bad customer service from one member of staff who refused to take credit cards and had a grouchy manner.
