Positive Reviews

Historic hotel with plenty of charm.

Past guests have described the historic hotel as being charming and unique. Named after an array of celebrities, individually-decorated guestrooms feature furnishings that some would consider outdated but are said to add character to proceedings. Furthermore, certain rooms are said to be haunted, making them popular with more daring guests.

Lively hotel bars prove popular.

The hotel features a cocktail lounge that dates back to the hotel’s grand opening in 1927 and a more contemporary bar. Both facilities prove popular with guests and locals alike, with the party carrying on late into the night.

In the heart of Flagstaff.

The hotel is located in the heart of Flagstaff’s historic city centre, just seconds away from restaurants, bars, shops, and more. This central location proves even more convenient thanks to the close proximity of the Amtrak station, 200 metres from the hotel.

Negative Reviews

No air conditioning in guestrooms.

Past guests have been disappointed to learn that not all guestrooms at the hotel are equipped with air conditioning. Although windows open to allow fresh mountain air in, guests report that hot days mean hot and sticky accommodations.

Parking can prove problematic.

The hotel has a limited number of parking spaces available, meaning guests face a first come first served rush to park up. Further problems ensue as a result of bar patrons also using the lot. Reports indicate that local restrictions also make parking on public streets a tricky affair.

Noisy accommodations unsuitable for some.

Guests used to enjoy undisturbed sleep may wish to reconsider booking a stay. The hotel is reported to be a noisy place, in part due to late night revellers within the bar and nearby watering holes, but also as a result of the nearby railroad.
