Positive Reviews

Great location for walkers and nature enthusiasts.

The guest house is located at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands and is in close proximity to numerous walks and nature trails which the guests found very convenient. Many enjoyed sitting by the large window in the lounge whilst trying to get a glimpse of dolphins and otters as well as other types of wildlife.

Clean rooms with spectacular views.

Guests whose rooms were located at the front of the building said that the views from their windows over the Loch were truly breathtaking. Many were also pleased to find that their rooms were clean and tidy, starting from the crisp linens through to the spotless and well-presented bathrooms.

High level of hospitality.

Many said that they felt like they were staying with their friends or relatives due to the warm and friendly atmosphere. Guests said they were very well looked after during their stay as the owners were said to be often on hand and willing to assist the guests with all their issues and queries. The owners offered helpful tips on what to see and where to dine in the local area which the guests thoroughly appreciated.

Negative Reviews

Noise issues.

The guest house is located close to a busy road and some guests mentioned that they were able to hear traffic noise both late in the evening and early in the morning which they described as quite intrusive.

Bit of a trek into town.

The town centre is located about a mile away from the guest house and quite a few guests said that they found the walk into town rather tiring whilst others objected having to drive every day or getting taxis.

Issues with breakfasts.

The dining room is rather small according to some and guests are required to share tables which did not appeal to those who would have preferred to be able to sit at their own separate tables.
