Positive Reviews

Clean with en-suite bathrooms, nice common areas

The high standards of cleanliness noted in this hostel was a pleasant surprise for many of those who stayed, with others similarly happy to find that their rooms all came with en-suite bathrooms. People also mentioned that the hotel had some great common areas where they could hang out and enjoy activities with other guests.

Outstanding staff and simple, free breakfasts

Guests made sure to mention that the staff service here was outstanding, with the team providing handy tips, helping with bookings and assisting with anything else in a friendly manner. Furthermore, reviews often mention a neat little pancake machine at the free breakfast service, which was said to be simple but appreciated by hungry backpackers.

Galway city, transport hubs at your feet

Everything of interest in the Galway city centre can apparently be reached with just a short walk while staying at this hostel and those who did just that said that the main coach and train stations were very close indeed. On top of this, a good selection of restaurants, bars and pubs were said to be mere minutes away on foot.

Negative Reviews

Room ventilation could be better, noise possible

The rooms here could apparently use some better ventilation, with some guests noting that it got too warm and muggy across the course of the night. Apart from this, the only other issue mentioned by those who stayed was that hostel staple of noise — there can apparently be a small amount of street or guest noise at times.
