Positive Reviews

Happy as peas in a pod!

You need to dismiss everything that has gone before when booking airport accommodation because, in essence, you are renting a space with television, shower and bed. It’s like a tiny, really tiny, self contained, ultra modern bedsit. It’s funky, private and great fun!

You can’t get any nearer to Gatwick

Forget about those wearisome shuttles between airport and hotel, you are already here at the airport – so, no early morning dash for the plane! Obviously, because it’s landside, if you’re 'arriving', you’ll need to clear Customs first.

They have a mission to control

Cabin Crew, as they call themselves, are a great, friendly bunch. They take control, get you a refreshing cuppa on arrival and point you in the right direction for restaurants, shops etc.

Negative Reviews

Small cabins

Some of the cabins or pods are ultra small. So much so that, for two, you can see each other’s toilet functions … somewhat ‘in - convenient’! Beds are narrow and with limited storage space, you are forever climbing over luggage … and each other Rather than ‘peas in a pod’, you need to be tiny ‘petits pois’ to fit in some – not all – of these cabins. Small doubles are really singles so establish the cabin dimensions first.

Expensive solution

Take away the novelty value and you have an expensive, very small, accommodation unit Admittedly, you don’t have the transport cost to and from the hotel but it remains expensive, for what it is.

They can’t store your luggage

This is a bit of a pain and had they thought this aspect through, they would have solved a big problem for travellers. As it is, you need to use the luggage storage facility inside the terminal – and of course, pay!
