Positive Reviews

Reasonable price for a reasonable stay

The Sandyford Lodge can provide anything you wish for from a standard to high-class rooms. According to guests, it has comfortable sleeping accommodations. The rooms and facilities are generally clean. Moreover, staff members are friendly and the hotel's location is strategic.

Quality foods and service during breakfast

The lodge takes pride in its cooked-to-order breakfast, and you'll understand why. Foods are served promptly, and there is always enough food for all guests. Scottish breakfast, fresh fruits, croissants and other pastries, and limited cereals are just some of the good stuff you'll enjoy.

Located near a bus stop

Aside from the fact that the property is just an easy 20-minute walk to and from the centre of Glasgow, it is also just near a bus stop that could take you practically anywhere in the city you wish to go.

Negative Reviews

Poor room lighting

Some of the guests complained that they weren't able to read in their rooms because of the poor lighting. If you find your accommodation too dark and unsatisfactory, you can call the front desk and see what they can do. You can also try to ask for a room transfer.

Tiny bathroom with very few toiletries

Bathroom might be a little packed, as expressed by some guests. There are no shelves to put your own toiletries, and the complimentary ones provided are very few. However, you will not be disappointed with the cleanliness of the facility.

No elevator in the building

There are no elevators in the building. If you have many and heavy luggage with you, this could be a bad news since the staircase from the first to the second floor is quite steep. However, you can ask a staff to help you carry your stuffs to your room.
