Positive Reviews

Ideal wedding and conference venue.

Stonehouse Court Hotel is the ideal wedding destination with the picturesque stroud Valley hills and Water Canal serving as perfect background for wedding ceremonies or photographs. The property boasts extensive lawns, bicycle lanes and even a croquet lawn, perfect for conferences.

Beautiful and historic building.

The hotel building was built during the 1700’s and sits on a large and very old country estate. Much of the buildings architecture has been lovingly restored to give guests a true sense of history and English architecture.

Excellent award-winning menus.

Henry’s Restaurant is an award-winning bistro-style restaurant which serves an excellent and varied menu of locally inspired and international dishes. All ingredients are sourced from local farms, giving each dish a unique and original flavour. Apart from the award-winning a la carte menus, the restaurant also does wonderful packed lunches for guests who want to picnic in the Cotswolds.

Negative Reviews

Choose rooms carefully.

There are two sets of rooms to choose from at the Stonehouse Court Hotel. The manor house section features larger rooms that are generally more luxurious and pricier while the Garden Wing annex offers rooms that are somewhat simpler and a bit more affordable.

Enquire about events before booking.

The hotel is a popular venue for all sorts of events which take place throughout the year so it is important to first enquire as to their event calendar before booking as some events can take over the entire hotel.

TV and Wi-Fi reception quite poor.

Perhaps due to the location many guests have complained about poor television reception as well as poor Wi-Fi signal at times. Fortunately there are a number of very nice public areas where one can try find better Wi-Fi signal and catch up with sports in the lounge or bar areas.
