Positive Reviews

Stunning views of Welsh countryside.

The castle sits on top of a hill and offers uninterrupted views of the sea and the surrounding Welsh countryside. Guests said that waking up to the panoramic coastal views from their rooms was one of the highlights of their stay. The extensive private grounds also left a lasting impression on many who enjoyed the hotel's peaceful and relaxing setting.

Interiors tick all the boxes.

The rooms have been described as being tastefully decorated with elegant pieces of furniture and quality upholstery. Guests were pleased to find all the necessary mod-cons in their rooms and were also impressed by the high-spec fittings and fixtures in the bathrooms such as the modern power showers.

A cosy and intimate atmosphere.

With only six rooms the hotel never gets overcrowded which was greatly appreciated by those who stayed here. Guests said that they felt like they were staying with their relatives due to the friendly and hospitable staff. If you are looking for somewhere intimate and atmospheric then you certainly won't be disappointed.

Negative Reviews

Lack of on-site dining.

Some guests mentioned that they would have preferred to have their meals at the hotel instead of having to drive to the nearest pubs and restaurants in order to have their lunch and evening meals.

Tiring climb to the rooms.

Due to the age of the building there is no lift on the premises which meant that guests whose rooms were located on the upper floors had to climb the steep and narrow stairs several times a day which some found quite tiring.

Remote location.

Although many guests appreciated the castle's scenic location, some did mention that they found it rather cumbersome having to drive to get to the nearest pubs, bars and restaurants.
