Positive Reviews

Accommodations above expectations

Guests are often impressed with the rooms, finding them above average for hostel standards, especially for budget accommodations in Mirador Mansion. In addition to modern amenities like air conditioning and good Wi-Fi, guests like that most rooms have windows. Another impressive point are the bathrooms, which have a separation between the shower and toilet.

Excellent location

No one can argue about this hostel's location. It is centrally located in a very walkable and vibrant are with easily accessible public transport. Guests find it convenient to have two metro stations as well as the airport bus nearby. Travellers like the area because its great for shopping and sightseeing. Dining options, including a food market, are also readily available all around the hotel.

Friendly front desk

Guests really like the amiable front desk personnel, and appreciate that they speak good English. Travellers say the staff here are very accommodating and make newcomers feel at home.

Negative Reviews

Small spaces

Although its expected for budget accommodations in Hong Kong to have small rooms, guests say some of the units here are unbelievably tiny. Guests report having trouble unpacking a suitcase and storing luggage.

Limited TV channels

According to visitors, the TV reception is quite poor and has only Chinese programming, with even those channels said to be limited. Guests prefer to have at least a few international channels available.

Street smarts

Guests do not really like the exterior of the building and find the area around the hotel a bit sketchy. Guests generally do not consider the area unsafe but advise others to use common street smarts. Travellers are also often annoyed by street salesmen around the property, but add that a polite "no thanks!" goes a long way.
