Positive Reviews

Cosy Guest House, Winning Pub

This location is charming with a lovely atmosphere, right in the centre of a picturesque village adjacent to a church. Fifteen-minute ride reaches the numerous attractions of central Bedford, and an evening stroll of the surrounding tranquil countryside is highly recommended. Pet-friendly, easy to find with plenty of parking. Dine in for a hearty daily breakfast or British lunch/dinner classics in the restaurant, as well as a fine selection of real ales and wines in the pub or beer garden. In pleasant weather, you may wish to ask to dine outside on the terrace. Try to spend a few minutes with Crumbs the parrot, too - he's a hoot!

Attentive, Welcoming Staff

The staff here are stupendous and won't hesitate to go out of their way to ensure your comfort.

Well-Equipped Rooms

Beds are comfortable, bathrooms are clean, the Wi-Fi is good and the overall ambience is peaceful in the rooms.

Negative Reviews

Dog-Friendly But Not Really

You can bring your dog, but don't plan on going anywhere on the premises with him/her other than your room or designated grassy spots. Maybe you're better off finding a pet sitter.

Expensive Meals & Foodless Sunday Evenings

There are usually no meals offered on-site on later Sunday evenings, but you can step out for dinner elsewhere within an easy stroll or ride. You may feel the food here is on the expensive side as well; be sure to compare similar venues to decide.

Noisy Neighbours

Thin walls allow may you to hear your neighbour's conversations quite easily. Church bells from the adjacent church may be a bit annoying as well. Bring your earplugs!
