Positive Reviews

Immaculate en-suite rooms.

Scrupulously clean rooms are nicely furnished with lots of mod cons. They are welcoming and just step outside the door to see what’s happening in the buzzing Lake District town of Keswick!

Join in the fun with the locals.

Live entertainment, not karaoke, is a popular feature here. Locals and visitors meet up to enjoy really class acts, some of whom, you’ll remember from television performances. Great atmosphere and fun and a unique opportunity to enter into the local way o

Start the day right.

Breakfast is truly impressive. Lots of choice and everything served piping hot by friendly staff. Specialties of the house include super coffees and tea choices. Can’t do better than this.

Negative Reviews

The sound of loud music.

The hills of Skiddaw in the Lake District must be alive with the sound of music coming from here. In fairness, it does finish round about 11.30pm but, on music nights, any thought of an early night should be forgotten.

Lacking little touches.

There are no bedside or reading lights. Furniture for storage is very limited, so next to no drawer or wardrobe spaces. Bathrooms, too, are ‘tight’.

The parking lark.

Unless the gods have smiled on you, it is highly unlikely that you will get a free parking space. It is more likely that you will need to draw on your powers of imagination to keep one step of the local traffic warden.
