Mariner's Resort Villas & Marina is a gated oceanfront resort in Key Largo with direct access to the Atlantic Ocean. It’s five minutes from downtown and 75 minutes from Miami International Airport.

Select from one- to three-bedroom townhomes and two- or three-bedroom villas with marina or ocean views. They feature free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and washer/dryers. One-bedroom units have kitchenettes and others fully equipped kitchens and Jacuzzi tubs.

Relax at the lagoon-style pool, heated clubhouse pool or Jacuzzi Grotto. Workout at the fitness center or play a game of tennis. Free self-parking is available. This is a non-smoking property.

Relaxing, beautiful property

Mariner's Resort Villas & Marina is set in a tranquil, relaxing spot with scenic views. It has two pools (including a beautiful, large lagoon-style pool) and a grotto Jacuzzi, which are relaxing and well maintained. The fitness center is also handy and rarely busy and there is water sport equipment available.

Well-equipped accommodation

Units are large, clean and comfortable. They are spacious enough for large groups and have all the necessities for a longer stay, including full kitchens for preparing meals and washer/dryers. Certain buildings have better views so do some research on the unit you are renting ahead of time; also, higher units have the most scenic ocean views.

Waterfront boating location

The resort has a marina if you choose to bring your boat, just make sure ahead of time that you are away of the procedure at arrival. There are also boat rentals nearby if you don't have a boat but want to get out on the water for the day.

Negative Reviews

Not a hotel but a condominium

It isn't clearly advertised that Mariner's Resort Villas & Marina is a privately owned condominium complex, not a hotel. There is limited staff and no front desk so check in is disorganized. Additionally, there is no regular cleaning service. Because units are privately owned, their quality varies; you may or may not end up in a nicely furnished, well maintained rental unit. Also, there is no onsite bar or room service. You should be aware of what the property offers so you aren't disappointed upon arrival.

Confusing check-in

Check-in is complicated; there's no typical hotel front desk and you need to send paperwork back and forth, receive your entry code, etc. by email just prior to arrival.
