Brilliant central location

According to overall opinion, few accommodation choices can beat the location of the Duval House in Key West. Positioned on the popular Duval Street, the hotel is a short walk from many restaurants, shops and major points of interest in the city.

Customer service is commendable

When it comes to customer service, most former visitors praised the staff working at the hotel. From the housekeepers to the front desk personnel, all of the staff members are said to be welcoming and accommodating.

Dated but well-maintained throughout

Whilst the Duval House has gained a reputation for being dated in areas, most previous guests were very happy about how the property was well-maintained. In particular, the garden and pool areas are considered well-kept and in great condition.

Although the quality of the complimentary breakfast has not been criticized that often, the limited selection of items on offer - with very little in the way of hot food - has proved to be a somewhat common grievance for those that stayed at the Duval House.

Limited and costly parking

For those that traveled to the hotel in their own transport, the parking situation tended to be a cause of stress. Not only is the parking lot described as small and on a first come, first serve basis, but a daily surcharge is also applicable.

Some of the rooms at the Duval House are cramped and short of space - an opinion shared by a sizeable number of past visitors. However, this particular negative aspect is apparently not too detrimental to the overall high comfort levels provided by the rooms.
