Positive Reviews

Lovely atmosphere in the pub

The owners of this hotel have tried their best to maintain a very local feel at the pub, and although it's been remodeled, it has lost none of its quaintness or charm. The locals are friendly, and the staff are great at keeping the place lively.

Wonderful breakfast

The chef at this hotel does his best to fill you up, so you don't need to eat lunch. There really is that much on offer, and it's all delicious. They make everything to order, so there's none of that heated and reheated stuff you find in bigger hotels.

Superb service by all

Every member of staff at this hotel has a very relaxed attitude, and this makes it a very comfortable place to stay. No matter what the issue is, they will deal with it with the minimum of fuss. Best of all though is that they smile when they say hello.

Negative Reviews

Inconsistent food quality

The food that is served here is said to be delicious, but some guests have found that this is sometimes not quite true of both the lunch and dinner offerings. In fact, some have said that they have had tasty food one day and not so great food the next. There seems to be some inconsistency with the quality of the dishes served.

Some rooms are a little pokey

While the majority of the rooms at this place are nice and comfy, some of them are a little too small for comfort. If you are the unlucky one to receive the last available room, then you might find that you have to leave your luggage in the car as there's nowhere to put it in the room.
