Positive Reviews

Wonderful views from guest rooms

Many of the guest rooms offer incredible views over the city Depending on which side of the building you're staying on, you'll get to look out over the park or river and appreciate 'The City of Seven Hills' in all its glorious splendour Wonderful.

Ideal location for explorers

You don't need to be Vasco de Gama to explore Lisbon when staying at the interContinental as the Metro station at Marquês de Pombal Square puts everything worth seeing well within easy reach. Tip: the hotel's steep, hilltop location makes walking into town an easy option (although you may want to catch the Metro on the way back!).

Spacious rooms

The guest rooms in the InterContinental Lisbon are designed in such a way as to make them feel even more spacious than they already are This is good going as even the standard rooms within this hotel are a very good size Perhaps it's the warm shades of brown and silver that do it.

Negative Reviews

There's no swimming pool

You would think that a swimming pool would be the most basic pre-requisite for any hotel wanting to espouse luxury five-star status nowadays Unfortunately, the InterContinental Lisbon doesn't share this view.

Breakfast is good. but expensive

While the quality, substance and variety of the breakfast menu is undoubtedly very good, it is fair to say you have to pay very handsomely for the privilege of savouring it Happily, there are plenty of cafés within walking distance (the receptionists will point you in the right direction) serving up significantly less expensive morning meals.

Guest rooms don't have tea/coffee making facilities

No way of making tea or coffee in your room? What kind of luxury five-star is this!
