Positive Reviews

Newly refurbished.

A number of guests mention the fact that the inn has been newly refurbished, reportedly to a high standard. The refurbishment in the bar, pub and restaurant area seems to be particularly good, with guests describing the look and feel of the place as modern, tasteful and stylish.

Friendly staff and good service.

A number of guests describe staff as friendly and offering a good service. A few guests single out the breakfast staff in particular, reportedly two ladies, who seem to be helpful, hard-working and accommodating.

Great location.

A few reviews comment on the ideal location of the hotel. Transport links and getting to and from the hotel is reportedly easy, and views seem to be beautiful, providing convenience and stunning views.

Negative Reviews

Basic bedrooms.

A few guests describe bedrooms as basic. Bedrooms do not seem to be in keeping with the rest of the establishment, with guests commenting that they are shabby and tired and offer no sense of luxury. However, guests do comment that bedrooms are comfortable.

General lack of consideration.

There are a couple of reviews that complain of generally poor management, particularly in the running of the breakfast. Guests comment that they are required to make their own tea and coffee and coffee and toast, helping themselves to supplies while the breakfast staff run up and downstairs providing cooked breakfast.

Poor standard of food.

Food in general seems to be of a very low standard, with a number of guests commenting that they could make better home-cooked food at home. Food seems to be bland, often delivered cold, and does not live up to the grand menu.
