Good location

Guests were, on the whole, quite happy with the location of the hotel. They felt that it was very centrally situated within Lompoc and that it was easy to travel to any destination in the city.

Excellent staff all round

On the whole, guests were very impressed with the staff at the hotel. They said that they extended a warm welcome and had the sort of friendly and professional attitude that made them easy to approach with a question or concern.

Rooms pretty quiet

Guests mentioned that, despite being in a fairly central position, their rooms were relative havens of peace and quite, allowing them to get a good night’s rest.

Negative Reviews

Too many cleanliness complaints

There were far too many guests complaining that their room was not clean when they checked in. The specific complaints varied from the minor to guests saying that their room was “filthy”, but quite a number of guests were not impressed with housekeeping.

No rewards points

A number of guests booking through third party sites were bitterly disappointed to discover that it was the hotel’s policy not to credit their Red Roof rewards card with points for these bookings. They did not know this ahead of booking and felt that the points should have been credited.

In desperate need of renovation

Guests were not happy with the state of the hotel in general, but especially unhappy with the state of their rooms. They felt that they had been neglected for a long time, where looking in very poor conditioning and now needed a comprehensive renovation to return them to an acceptable state.
