Positive Reviews

The food is good

Whether you choose to eat in the bar or at either on of the restaurants, you'll find that the food is really tasty. The chef uses locally sourced produce and meats and there is a nice selection of dishes to be had at breakfast.

A friendly, helpful staff

The staff at The Copley Arms is happy to have you and it shows. Their friendly, warm service makes you feel at home and they are knowledgeable about the area and all it has to offer in the way of restaurants, local attractions and evening entertainment.

It's quiet

One might worry that the guest rooms would be noisy because of their close proximity to the restaurants and the bar. Luckily, this is not the case as the lodgings on property are set away from the eating establishments making for a quiet stay and a good nights' sleep.

Negative Reviews

Some rooms do not have en suite facilities

Some of the guest rooms have shared bathrooms which can be problematic for those who like their privacy. If you prefer a room with en suite facilities, be sure to mention this when making your reservation.

The hotel needs an update

The property, especially in the guest rooms, is crying out for an update. Older and worn furnishings, bedding and bathroom fixtures that have seen better days are among the worst offenders. And a new coat of paint wouldn't hurt.

There's often a long wait for food

The hotel bar can get really busy, especially on weekends and during peak travel season which means you may have to wait for service and your food. But the good news is that once the food arrives, you'll find that it was worth the wait.
