About The Feathers

The Feathers at Ludlow is an instantly recognisable hotel, with its timbered façade, and is an establishment combining modern comfort with the character derived from its 17th Century coaching inn origins.

Guests choose from 40 en-suite rooms with both bath and shower. Rooms are equipped with flat-screen colour TV and DVD player, and direct dial telephone, and are provided with hospitality tray. Many of the rooms feature original exposed beams; four poster and luxury bedrooms with spa baths and power showers are available.

The Feathers is well equipped to host business meetings and conferences, and is the ideal location to make a wedding or private celebration truly memorable.

The head chef creates superb cuisine making use of fresh produce, locally sourced as much as possible. The tastefully refurbished Feathers Restaurant provides an ideal venue in which to enjoy his offerings, as does the Café Terrace.

Don't miss Ludlow Castle.

Lovely Ludlow.

The location of the hotel and its character are the subject of much praise, and in keeping with the charm and attractiveness of the town itself. One guest described the hotel as not: “just another clone of the type of hotel geared to the corporate market

Great Staff.

The staff are friendly and helpful: on one occasion when taxis were not available they went to the extent of giving guests a lift themselves. The rooms were generally found to be excellent, however it was felt that guests with mobility problems may have

Good Food.

The food is described as excellent, for real ale drinkers this is the place for you! The bar manager is knowledgeable about the local beers on sale.

Negative Reviews

Guests were disappointed at the delay at dinner, as there was a very large party being catered for, and felt that they should have been given advance warning of the potential problem.

Fan Noise.

Guests commented on the noise from kitchen extractor fans: rooms overlooking the car park are to be avoided. Regarding the car park, the hotel does not seem to prevent local people from making use of it, thus guests are sometimes unable to park there.

Water Woes.

The shower over the bath was unsatisfactory owing to lack of water pressure, at one point the water failed entirely, leaving a guest with a head covered in shampoo. The room was rather stuffy, with winter weight duvets compounding the problem, and opening
