Positive Reviews

Amazing central location

Guests really loved being within waking distance of all the attractions of the historic core. They had come to Malacca mainly to experience the history and culture of the city, and were happy to have all of it right outside their front door.

Very beautiful environment

The hotel has gone to some lengths in designing its interiors and is set in a tropical garden. Guests didn’t fail to notice this, and remarked that the design was very attractive and the outlook from some rooms and public areas was lovely.

Relaxed and fun environment

Guests liked the public areas of the property, saying that they offered games and many other ways to socialise and have fun. It was certainly very different to the atmosphere found at a typical hotel.

Negative Reviews

The walls are “paper thin”

The most common complaint in guest reviews revolved around noise issues. While guests didn’t really feel the immediate neighbourhood was especially noisy, they did say that the walls between the rooms offered no sound insulation, so they could hear the goings on in adjacent rooms and also noise from the public parts of the property

Breakfast not really worth it

Guests reported that the breakfast was extremely simple, being essentially toast and a drink. They wondered why the hotel would bother, since they found this inadequate and had to get another breakfast elsewhere anyway.

Very difficult parking

The hotel is quite centrally located and there is not a lot of free parking in the area. Guests who arrived by car seemed to have struggled to find a pot nearby when returning to the hotel form trips.
