Positive Reviews

Woodsy Secluded Location

This is a peaceful, quiet spot just aside a bushwalk trail where two friendly resident dogs might occasionally join you for a hike. Fresh eggs are ready to be collected each morning from the hosts' chickens, and the pot belly stoves in the units get fresh wood from the pile daily. You can easily reach the nearby coffee and chocolate shop within a lazy afternoon stroll, and the main town centre is close enough while still being set back from the bustle.

Spacious Chalets

The chalets are tidy and nicely appointed with all the expected amenities. All is in good condition and there's a grill outside on the patio for cookouts. Grab board games, balls and videos from the reception area if you plan to stay on-site for the day - there's even Netflix to watch, too!

Friendly Owners and Canine Assistants

The host couple is personable and warm, and their resident border collies are ready to visit and sit by your feet. If you have kids along (or playful adults) they'll gladly bring you a stick to play fetch a while.

Negative Reviews

Hard Beds

The beds may be a little too firm for some. Extra blankets may help add some cushion.

Chilly Nights

There's a wood-burning stove for heat but it may not reach the farthest areas of the bedrooms, making for a nippy night. Bring your warmest pajamas and ask for extra blankets if you visit when it's cold outside.

A Few Foibles

Some areas could use a sprucing and others feature decor in need of updating. Most is adequate, however.
