El Cid Castilla Beach Hotel is an expansive beach side resort featuring no less than eight pools and four restaurants, including a swim up bar and water slides. One of the restaurants overlooks the ocean and offers spectacular views of the sunset.

Each room features a balcony and separate sitting area. Ceiling fans and air conditioning are standard, as are coffee/tea makers and free toiletries. Televisions are also provided in all rooms.

This property has extensive outdoor facilities primed for tropical weather. A lobby bar is also open for cooler night time hours. Free valet parking is available for all guests.

The onsite restaurants include La Alhambra, an oceanfront buffet serving food from all over the world. In town, eateries like F.I.S.H. are open for business as well.

Besides the beautiful beach, El Cid Castilla Beach Hotel provides convenient access to a number of attractions, including the shops and restaurants of Mazatlan's Golden Zone. It is walking distance from the main shopping and restaurant district of town.

Travellers hoping to get a bit of quiet and respite from the vendors of the town were sorely disappointed at this hotel. Many guests said that local vendors were all over the property and the beach, and few felt as though they could relax and enjoy themselves without being bothered.

Not really all-inclusive

Many disappointed guests thought that the all-inclusive package would allow them to enjoy food and drinks throughout the hotel. However, it only counted towards some of the restaurants, and guests often complained about the quality of the food and drink.

Needs an update
