Positive Reviews

Quiet location, close to many attractions

Travellers are often attracted to the hotel for its central location, noting that Paseo de la Reforma is within a comfortable walking distance. While avid walkers find the hotel works well as a base for exploring the city on foot, guests also appreciate the convenience of the nearby Metro and Metrobus stations. Travellers also comment that though the surrounding neighbourhood is quiet and not particularly "touristy," it does offer useful amenities such as supermarkets and there are many eateries to choose from in nearby Zona Rosa.

An affordable option

Travellers on a budget comment that the rooms are priced competitively for the area, making it a good choice for those who are interested only in the basic requirements such as a hot shower and clean bed.

Negative Reviews

Property is well past its prime

Though the lobby has been updated and the property as a whole is widely considered clean, guests frequently describe the hotel as very old and in need of TLC. The furnishings, decor, and bathroom fixtures in the guest rooms are widely considered quite dated and unattractive.

Not a very warm welcome

Guests have been disappointed to report unwelcoming or even impolite behaviour at the reception desk. Lost reservations are a fairly frequently reported issue, and guests in this situation have been dismayed to find the staff unwilling to assist them in finding alternative accommodations. Travellers have also experienced poor or slow service in the restaurant.

Bring a good book

The Wi-Fi is widely described as unreliable or nonexistent, and the televisions in the guest rooms are antiques.
