Positive Reviews

Close to Monterey attractions

Set relatively close to Cannery Row, Fisherman's Wharf, Monterey Bay Aquarium and a whole host of attractions, guests loved the location of this property. In addition to the local sights, hungry guests were pleased to find a wide array of eating options close to this simple inn.

Friendly manager raises profile of accommodation

This property's manager - who appears to be very frequently on-site - truly impressed guests with his warm and friendly attitude. Always keen to make suggestions on what to see, do and eat, this member of staff proved to be a font of local knowledge and helped to raise the profile of this accommodation.

Well-presented property with a great breakfast

Kept neat and tidy, guests couldn't help but comment on how nicely presented this property is. But the bigger story here was the breakfast buffet, which always seemed to feature a selection of homemade muffins and a crock pot full of steel-cut oats. These offerings were a huge hit with guests.

Negative Reviews

Street noise

Located on the corner of a busy thoroughfare - and close to a bus stop - many commented that street noise was an issue here during certain times of day.

Dated ambience

While kept to a high standard, the overall look of this property was considered by many to be less than pleasing. There is a very rustic, decidedly 70s vibe that most found to be very dated.

Too pricey for some

Bargain hunters were left disappointed by this inn. Many felt that, given it's less than central location within the town of Monterey, the room rate here was a bit on the steep side.
