Complimentary continental start to the day.

The continental buffet was generally thought to be of good quality, it was served by friendly staff, and there were waffles available, in addition to other fare including coffee, bagels and yogurt. This spread satisfied most, but others would have liked to have seen more variety, including the addition of some cooked options like eggs and bacon.

Comfy beds, very pet friendly.

Those who stayed at La Quinta Inn & Suites Myrtle Beach at 48th Avenue said the beds in their quarters proved to be nice and comfortable. Furthermore, the hotel is apparently very pet friendly, with no charges for pets, which those staying with their furry family enjoyed.

Given the hotel is just a few blocks away from the beach, you can leave the car at home and walk, or drive there in a few minutes. In addition, you will find yourself a short stroll away from a wide array of restaurants — a Friendly's restaurant is just across the parking lot — and also not far from entertainment, shopping and the Broadway at the Beach complex.

Negative Reviews

Animal hair and smells.

Guests at La Quinta Inn & Suites Myrtle Beach at 48th Avenue sometimes reported finding some hair in their rooms, as well as musty smells, which they associated with the high number of dogs staying in some parts of the hotel. A few people were not very happy to encounter so many pets in the building, so keep this in mind if you are not an animal person.

Housekeeping could be better.

The housekeeping service was reportedly less than perfect, with some people reporting that their rooms had not been cleaned, or that housekeeping was only available early in the day. However, the rooms were generally thought to be clean — aside from the issues of hair and smells noted above.
