Positive Reviews

It's right in the heart of New Orleans

From The Roosevelt exploring all of New Orleans is a breeze. Many famous sights, such as the French Quarter, Jackson Square, and Bourbon Street are within an easy walking distance. The cable cars are also within walking distance, making it easy to take in attractions that are a little further away, like the New Orleans Museum of Art.

The staff is very helpful

Guests found that every employee they encountered, from the front desk to the engineering staff, was friendly and helpful. They were quick to help guests without having to be prompted. Their concierge service is particularly useful, and many guests enjoyed the guided tours of the hotel as well.

The food is delicious

Guests loved the treats at Teddy's Café, the hotel's coffee and sweets shop. The cozy room was the perfect atmosphere to enjoy local favorites like cafe au lait and beignets. Their fine dining restaurant, Domenica, infuses Italian cuisine with a New Orleans twist, to create a truly unique dining experience.

Negative Reviews

The pool is rather small

Quite a few guests noted that the pool is a bit too small, given the number of rooms at The Roosevelt. Those that stayed during quiet times didn't have an issue, but guests who were there on busy weekends found the pool overcrowded.

The rooms are small as well

As is sometimes typical of older properties, the standard guestrooms at The Roosevelt are on the small side. Some guests were quite bothered by this, and would have preferred more room to spread out without having to upgrade to a suite.

Watch out for extra charges

The Roosevelt charges an additional fee for in-room Wi-Fi and parking, among other things. Some guests felt that for the nightly rate they were paying, these things should have been included in the price.
