Positive Reviews

Walking distance from the French Quarter

New Orleans is filled with all sorts of wondrous sites, but there's one place most visitors can't wait to see—the French Quarter. Whether you came to town to hit up Bourbon Street or soak up the architecture and culture, you'll be perfectly situated at the hotel.

Great old time location

Built in the mid-19th century, the New Orleans Guest House holds an awful lot of history in its pink brick walls. When you stay here, you'll feel the tides of time coursing through the house. There aren't many better ways to experience the city than staying in an antique manor near downtown.

Breakfast, compliments of the hotel

Had a big night in the Big Easy? Nothing starts your morning off better than a good breakfast—especially a free breakfast. You can unwind on the picturesque terrace and breathe in the history of New Orleans while dining on eggs, bacon, toast, and coffee.

Negative Reviews

Could use a little work

For the most part, guests have enjoyed the unique flavor of the inn. Still, some former visitors felt parts of the hotel could use some work. Potential rehab areas include older beds, doors that don't close properly, tired fixtures, and new carpeting.

Very limited parking

According to guests of the inn, there are only four or five available parking spaces. As such, it's possible the lot will be full when you arrive, forcing you to seek out nearby lots at a higher cost. If you're concerned about parking, you may want to check with reception about parking options.

Some rooms are very small

Having a great location is a big part of what makes the New Orleans Guest House a great stay. However, if there are any drawbacks to the hotel, it's room size. Although expected to be small in an old house, some visitors found the rooms confining, which could warrant checking their dimensions before booking.
