Positive Reviews

Pretty good room rates

Like perhaps most guests staying at university residences for short stays, guests here were looking for reasonably priced accommodation. They mentioned that they did indeed find the room rates quite low and that, on the whole, they received decent value for money.

Very close to town

Guests really liked the central location of the property, saying that it was very close to Newcastle’s CBD. For those staying for leisure purposes, this meant that the concerts, pubs, shops and other attractions that had brought them to the city were all within easy reach - to many, even within walking distance.

Rooms were very clean

The overwhelming majority of guests reported that their room was very clean when they checked in, which definitely gave them a good first impression and allayed any fears they might have had

Negative Reviews

Can get very noisy

This was by far the number one complaint guests had when staying here. They mentioned that the atmosphere was very much like a university residence, with people coming and going at all hours. Since many guests were said to be anything but quiet, and the soundproof abilities of the doors and walls poor, it made for some restless nights for guests who were just looking for some sleep.

Rooms a bit small

A number of guests believed they were tricked when it came to the size of the room. They reported that the actual room they were allocated as much smaller than they viewed online. It wasn’t that they felt they were allocate different rooms, but rather that the photography was misleading, making the rooms appear bigger than they actually are.

No issues reported

So far, no recent negative opinion has been expressed by guests about this hotel.
