About Almondy Inn

Almondy Inn is an upscale bed and breakfast housed in a beautifully restored 19th-century Victorian building.

Individually decorated rooms boast king- or queen-size beds and period decor, perfectly combined with modern amenities like flat-screen TVs, DVD players, and en-suite bathrooms with signature bath amenities. Upscale rooms add cosy fireplaces.

Guests can park off-street alongside the guest house at no cost. Those who are new to the area can ask for assistance with special packages and ticket assistance, and when it's time to unwind, there's a sun terrace, ideal for relaxing with a cup of tea or a good book.

Travellers can enjoy a gourmet breakfast on the weekend and a continental breakfast during the week. A cheese and wine social in the afternoon is a great way to make new friends.

Bannister's Wharf is a vibrant shopping and dining area, just four minutes from Almondy Inn on foot. Newport Yacht Club is a ten-minute walk away.

Noise disturbances.

The inn is located next door to a night club and guests whose rooms were overlooking the street said that they were disturbed by loud music and noise particularly at the weekends, which often lasted until the early hours.

Unimpressive views.

Not all of the rooms have scenic views as guests in some rooms were disappointed to find that their windows looked out onto the nearby car park. If you are keen on a picturesque view, it's advisable to let staff know prior to booking.

Hosts not always on-site.

Guests mentioned that the owner was not always on the premises and was often absent from the inn in the evenings which they found rather disconcerting.
